These words strike fear into the hearts and minds of everyone who hears them, especially in the military. Let's face it, regardless of who you are, where you are, or where you are going everyone dreads the picking up roots and settling in a new area.
There are a variety of reasons but regardless, the house is fine, you just got everything put away from the last move and now it is time to start all over again. Different base, different town, different state, and in some cases a different country. It is never easy.
The children are unhappy and don't want to leave their friends. The teens are unhappy and don't want to lose their starting position on sports teams, their boy/girlfriends, or start out as the new kid in class. The wife doesn't want to go through the headaches of organizing and over seeing the packers. You really don't want to go and have to re-establish your reputation. But what can you do?
