The Spouse Deployed study will provide education, training in coping skills, and support through telephone support groups and informational webinar sessions to spouses of deployed military personnel.   This telephone support program is offered to spouses across the country with the goal of improving resilience, coping behaviors, and stress symptoms and reactions.  Assistance during deployment can also help with reintegration post deployment.

Below is more specific information about the program and what spouses can expect if they decide to participate:

•     Spouses will receive (by random assignment) either:

o   Telephone support groups, one hour, two times a month for 6 months, or

o   Online information webinar sessions, 30 minutes, posted two times a month for 6 months.

Spouses learn ways to manage stress and solve problems related to deployment and reintegration, communication, managing long distance relationships, and other common problems. Telephone data collection will be at baseline, six and twelve months

(with payment to spouses of $25 per interview and an additional $25 payment upon completion of entire study) For Additional information about Spouse Deployed
