Online tool tracks Airman deployment readiness

The PDPT tool was developed by the AEF Personnel Operations Center as ameans for consolidating data from various personnel systems. The toolpresents data from the Military Personnel Data System, Preventive HealthAssessment and Individual Medical Readiness in a personalized"dashboard" format that is refreshed daily.

"I want to make sure we do everything possible to assist Airmen inpreparing and staying ready to deploy worldwide," said Col. JamesHorton, director of AEF and personnel operations at the Air ForcePersonnel Center. "This tool provides deploying members more control ina collaborative effort with unit deployment managers to ensurereadiness."

To use PDPT, Airmen must first create an AEF Online account at https://aef.afpc.randolph.af.mil/default.aspx by selecting on the"Register" tab. Airmen can access the tool at the PDPT link under the"Other AEF Applications" dropdown menu.

Users can also make their AEF Online account Common Access Card enabledby clicking on the "My Account" dropdown item and selecting "EnableCAC."

Future improvements include being able to access the AdvancedDistributed Learning System, obtaining deployment availability codeinformation, and implementing a "Go Red" date system of letting Airmenknow when they risk going overdue on a specific requirement.

"Airmen need to have an AEF Online account, giving them access toinvaluable deployment information such as the personal deploymentprocessing tool," said Dr. Todd Fore, the AFPC executive director."Airmen can be called upon at any time in support of the Air Forcemission, and this tool enables all Airmen to be aware of their yearround mission readiness."
